Now that I’ve hit my mid-twenties and I’m as ancient as they come, I’ll happily admit that when I head out to a club, I very often place comfort over aesthetics. Gone are the days where I was too cheap to pay for the cloakroom, instead preferring to suffer, freezing my ass off in the frosty British weather – and giving everyone a chance to admire my on-point outfit – until I made my way into the venue. Nowadays, I contentedly bundle up warm, and pay my coat check fee before any partying takes place.
That being said, I’m still sometimes a fan of the saying, if you’ve got it (and the weather isn’t sub-Arctic), why not flaunt it? And the girls who have joined the Black Tape Project have certainly done that. If you’re not familiar with the Black Tape Project, it is an “artistic venture” spearheaded by Miami designer, Joel Alvarez, where women go clubbing wearing nothing but a few strips of duct tape placed strategically over their more intimate regions.
