The rise of Islamophobia is a growing concern in today’s political climate, and for Muslims living in America, there is a battle on to resist anti-Muslim sentiments and change the negative perceptions around those of the Islamic faith. A 17-year-old girl by the name of Lamyaa was faced with an aggressive accusation when discussing President Trump in an online group chat, but rather than ignore the claim, she decided to text her dad and prove a point.
