CLEVELAND, Ohio — Iman Shumpert started the third quarter for the Cleveland Cavaliers after J.R Smith suffered an injured left hamstring in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference opening round playoff series Monday against Indiana.
Smith missed nearly three months with a broken thumb before returning to the lineup in early March.
Shumpert, who started 31 games for Cleveland in the regular season, started the third quarter for the Cavaliers.
Shumpert had fallen out of coach Tyronn Lue’s rotation and did not log a minute in Saturday’s Game 1 against the Pacers.
