CLEVELAND, Ohio — The NBA has set the schedule for the 2017 Finals beginning next month.
The Finals will begin June 1 at the home arena of the Western Conference champion. Both Golden State and San Antonio finished the regular season with more wins than either Cleveland or Boston, and therefore will have home court advantage in the series.
Golden State currently holds a 2-0 advantage over San Antonio in the Western Conference Finals as the series shifts to Texas for games 3 and 4.
Cleveland opens the Eastern Conference Finals tonight in Boston. The Cavaliers won the regular season series between the two clubs, 3-1.
The matchup between Cleveland and Boston is the first between the two since the Eastern Conference opening round in 2015, when the Cavaliers swept the Celtics in four games.
The Cavaliers and Celtics have met six times previously in the postseason, with Boston holding a 4-2 edge.
In 2016, the NBA set the start times for weekday Finals games at 9 p.m. with Sunday games starting at 8.
All NBA Finals games will air on the ABC network.
