Nike Adds Think Pink / Kay Yow Look for the LeBron Ambassador X (10) »
The Ambassador series is gaining some serious steam. It was once considered a budget series without much to offer on the first sight. For the last couple years it’s been on the rise in both aesthetics and performance.
A young Nike designer, Tony Hardman, is the lead designer on the Nike Ambassador 10. He did a great job of grabbing the essence of the Ambassadors. The main focus was always on creating an all-condition design that you can wear all day and still play some ball on your way back home. That’s why the Ambassador X has a strategically placed ankle collar to keep elements from entering the shoe. As for performance… it still packs a front and heel Zoom Air units… not bad for a budget shoe, huh?
As for the aesthetics… well the fact that Nike used the Ambassador X for their latest Think Pink / Kay Yow design says a lot too. It’s a beauty too. The shoe shouldn’t be overlooked by any Nike LeBron fan.
The only problem with the Ambassador is the fact they are not easy to get apart from the Asia/Pacific region. Do you think Nike should include this model in other markets too?
