If you’ve read our 90 Day Fiance recap of this week’s episode, you know what Larissa and Fernanda have been up to on screen.
On social media, the two of them have been talking trash about each other to their fans.
Larissa was already feuding with Jay and Ashley, and now she’s not getting along with yet another castmate.
Larissa made it clear to her fans and followers that she is aware that some of her castmates don’t like her.
“I just have one thing to say about other cast members’ passive aggressive behavior,” Larissa writes on Instagram.
Larissa announces: “I stopped talking to them.”
“I blocked them and will continue looking forward,” she continues.
(Note that Larissa is Brazilian and some idioms translate awkwardly — she may mean and am moving on)
“I’ll keep my behavior to not talk about their personal life,” Larissa says.
She continues: “Don’t matter if it’s in public eye.”
“I know who I am and what I am worth,” Larissa affirms.
She concludes: “Other lives just matter if I can help or give encouragement.”
That’s an interesting way of viewing the world.
Larissa then used her Instagram stories to make it clear that her vague post was directed at one 90 Day Fiance co-star in particular.
Fernanda Flores is half of one of this season’s most likeable couples.
In an Instagram comment attributed to her, she allegedly called out Larissa’s status as a deadbeat mom.
“Why?” reads the comment attributed to Flores. “Probably because she abandoned three children in Brazil.”
(The translation from Spanish is mine and I apologize if I missed a nuance here)
“Or possibly because,” the comment continues. “People like these are why the K-1 Visa process is so difficult.”
Larissa addresses her younger co-star’s comment with a fair amount of diplomacy.
“Nothing against her,” Larissa writes. “I just saw her twice in my life.”
Meaning that Fernanda’s thoughts and opinions aren’t hurtful to her because they do not carry much weight.
“I wish them the happiness and a happily ever after (all 90 Day Fiance cast),” Larissa says.
If she wishes the best for everyone on the show … does that include Steven Frend? Viewers may disagree.
Larissa continues: “I just [don’t] understand why she continues to talk and throw shade at me in regards to my personal affairs.”
Some would say that it’s part of the job of a reality star to comment on others.
And others would say that any human being has the right or even the obligation to call someone out if their behavior is believed to be harmful.
That’s not how Larissa sees it.
“When you don’t agree with someone, it is simple to block and keep living, right?” Larissa reasons.
“It is what I did,” she writes. “And what I’ll continue to do.”
“When someone doesn’t leave my personal life alone, it is their problem, not mine anymore,” Larissa affirms.
Who is right?
It’s tempting to condemn Larissa for leaving her children behind in Brazil to head off to Vegas and make Colt’s mom cry.
But there’s so much that we don’t know about her situation as a mother. Maybe, one way or another, she didn’t have much of a choice.
Meanwhile, is Fernanda speaking her mind … or picking fights for drama?
Based upon what we’ve seen of her on screen, we don’t think that she’s trying to start a feud for ratings.
She’s an emotionally expressive person, and it sounds like she’s just being upfront on social media.
Besides, her alleged comment about Larissa was a response to a fan question. She’s just being honest about her concerns.
